Use the filters and search tools to find \u201cjust your stuff\u201d. Click the \u201cMore Info\u201d link to see all the details, including related CD \/ SIG contact details.<\/p>\n
Filter by a SIG or two, and try the Calendar view in Day \/ Week mode to see what’s on and when.<\/p>\n
It will run on multiple platforms, desktop, tablet, mobile phone etc.<\/p>\n
Check out the cool new \u201cMy Events\u201d feature that lets you build up a favorites list of just the events you are interested in. You can print off just your favorites list. Plus you will see if other like minded modellers have\u00a0 also \u201cliked\u201d an event, and when you go to register, if you have added events to your favourites list, the system will carry those events through to registration for you. Nice !!<\/p>\n
As we have done in the past, you can click the location links to get details of where the flying sites are, and a GPS link that will let your phone take you to the field using your prefered mapping app. BTW \u2013 Some of those links are still from last years nats, and they will be updated when sites are confirmed closer to the time. (Free Flight your field right now is correct, its close to all the action, Rob Wallace has it sorted)<\/p>\n
And for the luddites out there, there is an \u201cOld School 1990\u2019s\u201d version of the programme that you can print off and stash in your field kit \/ on the dash of your 1970\u2019s holden kingwood. Obviously if you print it off, and we tweak some events, you won\u2019t see those on your bit of paper, but even I will admit, the “rocky” version is very quick and easy to look at. Look for the \u201cView Classic Version (PDF)\u201d link up the top.<\/p>\n

The MFNZ nationals are held every year to allow MFNZ members to compete against each other in various disciplines at a nationals level. Typically they are held in early January each year to take advantage of the long summer days and the end of the Christmas\/New Year holidays. Usually competitors number between 110 to 150 and come from all areas of New Zealand… and sometimes overseas. There are a number of trophies that competitors compete for and there are champions for the various disciplines and then the champion of champions<\/strong>.
\nThe nationals require a lot of organisation as there are normally around 90 events which are flown over 5 or 6 flying fields, over 5 days. Each event can have from 3 to 30 entries so it’s quite a bit of work to get them to run smoothly.
